Patient Consent Forms
The Stanford Back Pain Study has received approval from the Stanford University School of Medicine Institutional Review Board. This committee is composed of scientists and community members who review research protocols to ensure that patients who choose to participate in research studies are adequately protected from harm.
An important part of the research process involves providing patients with informed consent. It is important that patients understand the risks and benefits of participating in a clinical study prior to enrollment.
